NBA lockout, finally over
On July 1st, the 2011 NBA lockout began. The lockout means that the next season of basketball is postponed for another time. During the lockout, teams cannot trade, sign or contact players and players can't access NBA team facilities, trainers or staffs. During the lockout, it affected the players a lot of money, The cancellation of each month of the season cost the players around $350 million in lost pay. Some players decided to fly over seas and go to teams in Asia or Europe, and some decided to just stay here and wait until the lockout is over. The lockout lasted 149 days, leaving fans really angry. The lockout ended November 26th 2011. Fans were so happy and excited that the lockout was over. The first game will be on December 25th 2011. I am also a fan of basketball and i was so relieved that the lockout was over. A lot of people were excited, they showed a lot of the excitement on twitter. "NBA" was a trending topic for about 2 days straight.
